Why did the accountant cross the road?
Some have said he did it just to get a laugh.
Others have said she did it to help the chicken with his tax return.
And some accountants would certainly cross the road to win the Corporate Run!
At Kaufman, Rossin, we believe that laughing together is an important part of a healthy environment. Joy at Work is one of our core values, and we like to think it’s one of the reasons we were named Best Place to Work again this year.
So we’d like to spread the joy of laughter today and ask for your help filling in the punch line.
Tell us your punch line – Why did the accountant cross the road?

From the chicken joke with the same theme, adapted to Accountants. (just for fun)
Plato: because it sought to achieve well.
Aristotle: is the nature of the Accountant crossing the road.
Freud: the concern with the fact the Accountant have crossed the road is a symptom of sexual insecurity.
Machiavelli: to whom should the why concern? Established the objective to cross the road, is irrelevant to discuss the means used to achieve this conclusion.
Marx: the current stage of the productive forces required a new social class of Accountants, capable of crossing the road.
Einstein: If the Accountant crossed the road or road moved itself under the Accountant, depends on the point of view. Everything is relative.
Socrates: everything that I know is that I do not know.
Parmenides: the Accountant did not cross the road because she could not move. Movement does not exist.
Darwin: over long periods of time, the Accountants have been naturally selected, so that now they have a genetic predisposition to cross roads.
Blaise Pascal: who knows? The heart of an Accountant has reasons which Reason itself does not know.
Sartre: it is mere fatality. The existence of the Accountant resides in its freedom to cross the road.
Nietzsche: he wants to overcome its condition of Accountant to become a SuperAccountant.
Richard Dawkins: In fact, the genes to cross the street are the ones actually crossing the street. The Accountant is just one way that genes found to accomplish this task.
Pavlov: because before I use to rang a bell and offered food to the Accountant to cross the street. Now, after several equal experiments, simply tapping the bell makes the Accountant go across the road, even without food offer.
Kant: The Accountant followed only the imperative characteristic of Accountants. It is a question of practical reason.
Stoics: the Accountant crossed the road because that is necessary. Is the target. Was already provided for by the universal order of the cosmos.
Martin Luther King: I had a dream. I saw a world in which all Accountants are free to cross the road without being questioned its reasons.
Schopenhauer: the Act of crossing is fleeing itself in an attempt to relieve the tedium and suffering being alive in this world without end.
Newton: 1) Accountants at rest tend to be at rest; Accountants in motion tend to cross the road. 2) Due to gravitational attraction exerted by other Accountants that were already on the other side of the road.
Agnostic: it is impossible to know if the Accountant actually crossed the road. The uncertainty rests eternally on this issue.
Skeptical: they say that the Accountant has crossed, but is this true? We need to investigate this issue carefully prior to making any statement about it.
Forensic Investigators: the evidence gathered on the place of passage indicates strongly that the Accountant crossed the road.
